I designed an infographic about the most important considerations when preparing a design for a potential infographic. I highlighted design principles for infographics highlights in Hagen & Golombisky’s chapter on infographics.
This includes content areas, graphs, and visuals, and the importance of research. I used lighter colors to represent safe growth and stimulation.
I designed an infographic about how to use color in design for those who may be new to design like I was.
It contains sections about the colors in the color wheel, different color scheming, how to design with colors found in nature, and a section about the power of color in design to promote readability, emotion, and organization.
When I first set out to complete a user evaluation of my very own, the first thing I wanted to do was map out all of the steps of a user evaluation that I had learned thus far. At its creation, I was a pupil in a visual communications class focused on audience, purpose, and design principles. I used the development of this infographic as an opportunity to practice these skills in case someone else happened upon it and might use it as inspiration for themselves or others.
GoDaddy has recently transitioned towards a mature and entrepreneurial persona, but this came with the loss of its Daddy. I believe we should revive Daddy from the logo heaven.
I designed new logos for GoDaddy. One Daddy dawns the GoDaddy Star and the other has the GoDaddy heart.
Check out my memo to learn more about how these new daddies came to be.
Pop of Spring sells handmade clay earrings and other accessories. As a fun design challenge, I explored their logo design. For each word of the main business title, I matched a color from the images of the flowers.
To contrast the color, I opted for dark and then subtitle. Adding colors helps communicate the business's light, fun aesthetic and accessories.
While working on Mill Ave, and we often received window flyers to advertise events happening in the community, but I never saw a flyer for 2nd Sunday, so opted to design on as a design challenge.
I created two flyers for Tempe's Second Sunday community event using a different contrast of yellow as the primary color because it's a color that stands out and catches the eye.
In January 2023, I had the privilege of designing the diplomas for the Ikigai-based Workshop for High-school Students at the Learning Planet Festival hosted by Arizona State University.
This workshop provided a space for these students in discovering their life directions through the Japanese concoct of Ikigai, enabling them to develop actionable plans for a desirable future.
About TOTAL HEALTH: I developed a mindmap for a new mobile healthcare app called Total Health.
This app aims to reach a wide range of users and address the diverse needs of healthcare services. This app aims to encapsulate the various services and functions the app provides.
The app's primary healthcare services include: Mental Health, Physical Health, Community, and Insights.
My favorite design project so far was using my design skills to create jungle-themed food tags for my nephew's birthday party. View the other food tags on my Behance!
In a Visual Communications class, each module explored a different design color to challenge and prompt us to explore how different colors can influence our designs. For the color blue, I drew inspiration from Katsushika Hosukai's The Great Wave Off Kanagawa to reimagine Hokusai's website, showcasing the artist's legacy and life's work. I developed a mid-fidelity wireframe on Figma to display design recommendations for the website's landing page and information architecture.
